Although it's not compulsory, it does bring great rewards. Today we're going to look at the subject of <strong>making an omra for a deceased person<\/strong>by dealing with related issues, in chaa Allah.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is it permissible to make an omra for a deceased person? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>First of all, it should be remembered that the omra is a highly recommended Sunnah, and even obligatory according to some scholars. Unlike the hajj, it can be performed at any time of the year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, this small pilgrimage involves fewer <strong>rites<\/strong> that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haramainvoyages.com\/en\/hajj-2026\/\"><strong>the hajj<\/strong><\/a>and can be completed in a single day.<\/p>\n<p>Now let's ask the question: <strong>who can make an omra badal? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>People in <strong>unable to perform omra,<\/strong> such as the sick, the disabled or even the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>It is therefore possible to make an omra for a deceased person, and the proof is found in the following hadith. :<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Indeed, Al-Bukh\u00e2r\u00ee reports d<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>after Ibn 'Abb\u00e2s that<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>a woman from Juhayna came to see the Prophet ('alayhi salat wa salam) and said to him: \"My mother had conceived the vow of<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>make the pilgrimage to Mecca, but she died before making it.<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>Can I do it for her? <\/em><\/strong>- \"<strong><em>Yes, do it for her,\" replied the Prophet. <\/em><\/strong>\"<strong><em>You see, if your mother had contracted a debt, the<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>would you have repaid for it? Honour your debts, for debts to God are more worthy of honour\".<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How do you make an omra badal? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the first instance, the intention (the niyah) must be clear to the <strong>principal<\/strong>. He makes this adoration for the deceased, and this intention must be set even before beginning the rituals.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to make an omra by proxy through <strong>a hajj agency<\/strong>You can talk about your project and get the best possible guidance.<\/p>\n<p>The reward for this worship is supposed to benefit the deceased, as a form of sadaqa jariya (continuous almsgiving). Moreover, any Muslim can perform it, whether a family member or not.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we would like to point out that the rituals of the <strong>omra for a relative<\/strong> are identical to those of a normal omra. The only difference lies in the intention, which is in the name of the deceased.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What you need to know about hajj by proxy <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We know that<strong> the great pilgrimage to Mecca <\/strong>is an obligation for every Muslim who is in good health and financially capable. Given this, it is obligatory to perform the hajj for oneself before performing the hajj badal for a third party.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the proof is found in the hadith of Ibn Abb\u00e2s, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The Prophet ('alayhi salat wa salam) heard a man say the following<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>intention to<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>perform the pilgrimage instead of<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>another (named Chubruma) while<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>it<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>had not yet made the pilgrimage for himself, he said to him:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>- \"Have you completed the pilgrimage for yourself?\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>- No\", said the<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>man.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>- Accomplish the pilgrimage for yourself all the way to the end.<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>first, and then do it in Chubruma's place\", said the messenger of the Lord.<\/em><\/strong>'<strong><em>Allah () (Abu Dawud, Ibn M\u00e2djah).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celui que l\u2019on appelle \u00e9galement \u00ab\u00a0le petit p\u00e8lerinage\u00a0\u00bb a une grande importance en islam.
