A holy place whose merits the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself extolled. My dear brother, my dear sister. In these few lines, we will try to take you on a journey to this incredible historic site.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The Prophet's Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi): a little history<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>This mosque is<i> the 2nd mosque to be built in the holy city of Medina<\/i>by our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him). It was built at the time right next to <b>the house of the Prophet<\/b> (Peace and greetings upon him). Since then, it has undergone considerable enlargement and modification.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La <i>The original size of the Prophet's Mosque was 1050 m2<\/i>. Today, with the plans of the King of Saudi Arabia. L<b>he mosque will soon reach 614,800 m2<\/b>This does not include the outside areas. The plan is to be able to accommodate more than 1.8 million worshippers (compared with 700,000 today). To give you a more precise idea. <strong>L<\/strong><b>he Nabawi Mosque is now the size of the entire city of Medina in the time of the Prophet!<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Incredible monuments<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The Nabawi Mosque contains <b>the tomb of the Prophet <\/b>(Peace and salvation be upon him). As well as the tombs of his two companions, Abu Bakr and 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them). An impressive <b>green dome <\/b>has been built over this room, setting it apart from the others.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Prophet's mosque has <b>10 minarets<\/b> 103 metres high, towering over the 27 domes and 250 automated umbrellas. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This <i>unique place<\/i> also contains<b> the Prophet's chair <\/b>(where he gave his sermons), 2 mihrabs and a very large bookshop. The architecture is grandiose, the ornaments each more magnificent than the last, not to mention the cutting-edge technology that runs the entire structure.<\/p>\n<h3><b>About \"Ar Rawda<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p>It is possible to <i>pray some <\/i><i>prayers<\/i><i> supererogatory<\/i> in a place called\u00a0<b>Ar rawda<\/b>\u00a0\". Indeed, by seeking his merit and <b>hoping for Allah's reward.<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>According to Abu Huraira, the Prophet <\/i>(Peace and greetings upon him) <i>said: \"The space between my house and my minbar is a garden<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>(rawda) among the gardens of paradise and my minbar is above my basin\". Reported by Bukhari (Sahih n\u00b06588)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>However, as far as obligatory prayers are concerned,<b> the best place is in the front row, <\/b>as is known from the Sunnah. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The different doors of the Prophet's Mosque<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>La <b>Great Mosque of the Prophet<\/b> (Peace and blessings be upon him) has no fewer than <b>41 doors.<\/b>\u00a0Other doors have since been added, bringing the total to 85! However, the <b>the first 3 doors to be built<\/b> are undoubtedly the best-known features of the Nabawi Mosque:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Bab as salam, or the gateway to salvation<\/b>because it is the entrance to the place where the Prophet is buried, in order to salute him; <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b>The second gate: Bab Abu Bakr As Siddiq, or the Gate of Abu Bakr<\/b>so called because it overlooked Abu Bakr's house;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b><\/b><b>Bab Ar Rahma, or the Gate of Mercy.<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>Masjid An Nabawi: a very special reward<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Those who have the opportunity to <b>visit the masjid An Nabawi<\/b> must take the opportunity to multiply invocations, reminders and supererogatory prayers in order to<b>obtain the immense reward<\/b> which the Prophet (peace be upon him) tells us about in this hadith:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>The Messenger of Allah <\/i>(Peace and greetings upon him)<i> said: \"A prayer performed in my mosque is better than a thousand prayers performed in any other mosque apart from the Sacred Mosque;<\/i> And one prayer in the Sacred Mosque is better than a hundred prayers in my mosque.
