After lifting the ban on pilgrims outside the borders of Meccaof Medina and Jeddah. Saudi Arabia is opening up even more to the world.
This decision is part of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 economic transformation plan, launched by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2016, to launch new economic sectors aimed at reducing dependence on oil revenues.

The list of 49 countries whose citizens will be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia include the countries of the European Union, Russia, China, the United States, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, South Korea and Malaysia, the only Islamic country on the list.
"Opening up Saudi Arabia to international tourists is a major challenge. a historic moment for our country" said Ahmed al-Khateeb in a statement. "Visitors will be surprised to discover the treasures we have to share: five sites listed on the Unesco World Heritagea local culture full of life and the natural beauty of take your breath away" .
The ultimate aim is to become the world's leading 5th tourist destination worldwide and create up to a million jobs in the sector.

- The visa is valid for 1 year and the period of residence after entry is 90 days.
- The cost of the visa is 440 Saudi Riyals (around €107)
- Entry points to Saudi Arabia with a visa are Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, King Fahd border crossing and Al Batha airports.
