Saudi Arabia is located in the Middle East, surrounded by Jordan, Iraq and Kuwait. The Persian Gulf and Qatar. The United Arab Emirates and Oman, as well as Yemen, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba.
The country will have a population of almost 37 million in 2022.
Named in Arabic As Sa'oudiyyah "The country is divided into 13 districts, all governed by appointed emirs and assemblies of local notables.
As you know, this magnificent country is also home to the famous towns of Mecca and Medina. And the country's second-largest capital, Jeddah.
But we'll come back to that later in this post.
In the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, you will find many tourist attractions as well as religious sites. If you're particularly interested in Islamic culture, Riyadh is a great place to visit. You can also explore the city's many districts and shops.

Tourism is growing rapidly in this city, and indeed in the country as a whole. Not least because of its religious importance and diverse cultural attractions, but also because of the new 2030 vision impacted by Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.
There are plenty of things to do in Riyadh. When it comes to shopping, you'll be won over! Huge, ultra-modern shopping centres are commonplace. For example, the Riyadh Park Mall with its 130,000 m2 of trendy shops and breathtaking architecture.
And if you're looking for a more traditional and authentic shopping experience, the many Souqs are the ideal place to go. Visit souk Al Zal, Al Maigliah or the souk Al Owais. You'll find souvenirs, traditional dresses, abaya and sumptuous oriental fragrances.
There's also plenty to visit in this capital of Saudi Arabia. From 99-storey buildings, food courts and traditional restaurants to the famous national museum and its rare collection.
Not to mention, of course, the Al Masmak Fortress, dating from 1865 and located in the traditional part of the city.

This is Jeddah, also spelt Jeddahwith a population of almost 4 million. This coastal city overlooks the Red Sea and is less than 85 km from the holy city of Mecca.
What's more, the city is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Saudi Arabia. There's Mecca, of course. But also MedinaJeddah, and finally Riyadh!
