L'Jeddah King Abdulaziz airport is named after the first king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It welcomes tens of millions of passengers every year, and is used by a large number of international airlines. It was recently extended with the construction of a new terminal handling all domestic and international flights.

L'Jeddah airport is close to Mecca. It can handle up to 30 million passengers a year. It is named after the first king of Saudi Arabia, Abdelaziz ben Abderrahman ben Faisal Al Saud, who lived from 1880 to 1953. The first Jeddah airport was built by Aéroport De Paris, now known as ADP.

Le terminal 1 is gigantic! There is a large central garden, offering a soothing, verdant view to travellers. Inside, there is a gigantic aquarium with over 2,000 fish. What's more, it is directly linked to the station, which will provide a direct service to Mecca and Medina.
There is also a 5-star hotel with 120 rooms on three levels. There are also 120 shops where passengers can do their shopping. And even more impressive is a mosque where over 3,500 passengers can pray. Not to mention independent prayer rooms.
The kingdom's objective is to be able to welcome more than 80 million passengers by 2035. Indeed, the number of pilgrims continues to grow, as do the projects aimed at attracting tourists.
